dear dudes!
CampROCK was over in a flash and to say i don't miss it, i am lying. it really brought about much change in how i see the people who are less privileged than us. seriously, the camp was awesome and given another chance, i would like to experience the whole camp again. to see the happy faces of the children, to interact with them, to see how the excited and elated expressions on the children's parents faces give me a sense of satisfaction. i remembered that before the camp, ying ting, claudia and i were thinking of backing out of wenyi's cmps group thing because it gave us lots of trouble but overall, i feel a sense of accomplishment and happiness that i managed to help the children and bring them joy. after talking to one of the teachers there, i realised that some come from disfunctioned families, yet their constant upbeat attitude is what makes me admire them. in addition to that, my group Loving Lion, the team members came up and organised the whole show of theirs mostly by themselves, which i think is worth commending. :D they are mere children with learning disabilities yet they are able to get their act going and perform their performance to their utmost best. i love the camp.
although i did not really interact with the PHS people, i still think they are very nice and friendly people, especially qiu jin, that is becau sei worked with her. :D you can totally see the camp spirit and enthusiasm of the PHS people when it comes to camp. it will really stun you totally (especialyl the campfire at PHS). i love everything except the encounter. i love every moment there. i can tell the children are appreciative of what we have done for them and i am satisfied. i want to reach out to help them more, so if there is an appropriate avenue, i want to help them.
i shall update more about this camp and AK cmap next time. i shall lwt my sis use the comp. ciao!
